On the other side is a short description/background of the symbol. Found throughout Ireland High Crosses or Celtic Crosses are free-standing Christian crosses made of stone and often richly decorated. The carved scenes are a mixture of religious figures and sections of decoration such as Celtic knotwork patterns. Both sides of the ornament have sprigs of Shamrock which decorate the edges.
