Low coefficient of friction: Provides excellent lubricity, minimizing wear and friction. High temperature resistance: Can withstand high temperatures without significant degradation. Weaknesses: Lower strength and stiffness: Compared to Torlon, PTFE is relatively soft and less resistant to deformation under load. Higher creep: Can deform under sustained load, especially at higher temperatures. Lower wear resistance: While it has low friction, it can wear down more easily than Torlon in high-wear applications.
