About our Linocut Prints Each of our linoleum block prints is a unique piece of art. The original design is meticulously traced and transferred onto a linoleum block, a natural material with a burlap backing. The design is then carefully carved into the block using special gouges. Ink is applied in several thin layers, creating a rich and vibrant image. The high-quality archival acid-free paper is then placed over the inked linoleum, and pressure is applied to transfer the ink onto the paper using a wooden or metal spoon. This traditional process, done by rubbing in small circles, ensures a good image transfer, resulting in a truly unique and beautiful print. It's important to note that our linoleum block prints are not digitally reproduced. Each one is a unique, handmade, hand-printed item. This means that there may be slight variations in ink intensity and texture, as well as 'imperfections.' These variations are not flaws, but rather part of the technique's charm, adding to the unique character of each print. Each print is carefully packaged to ensure safe delivery.
