The ball bearing helps to prevent the solid brass hinge from wearing down when used on heavier doors. They are sold as pairs (two hinges per package) and come with screws. Two sizes are available, 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ and 4″x 4″. Both sizes feature five knuckles with two ball bearings. 3-1/2″ hinges have three screw holes per side, while 4″ hinges have four.
